Greetings to all of you who have gathered to honor this anniversary of the Uganda-Kenya Province. What a wonderful reason to celebrate!
Fifty years of service for all of God's people in Uganda and Kenya is quite remarkable and deserving of the highest respect and accolades and praise.

Congratulations on the anniversary of this Province--- as you look back at these fifty years, you merit a wonderful celebration to honor the many memories of the past and to look ahead to the future as you grow and prosper.

Especially at this anniversary, golden is surely the perfect colour for the day. Yes, golden is the traditional colour for 50 year anniversaries but golden is especially suited to your celebration, because you have observed the Golden Rule..... you do for others what you would like to have done for you.

The Golden Rule- to do unto others as you would have done unto you, crosses all boundaries of religion and culture. Every religious tradition shares this concept. Surely then this idea of doing for others must be very close to the heart of God. The heart of God who inspires us, loves us and challenges us.

You inspired us fifty years ago, you inspire us now and I know that your work will continue to inspire us in the future.
