ANASC
Ireland Annual Report 2008
ANASC Ireland had another busy year. In February we were very honoured with a
visit from
Hermine. Hermine and Gillie Collyer joined us for a week end and addressed both
past pupils and religious
community. It was greatly appreciated and we had a very productive week end.
In September we had our annual pilgrimage to Lough Derg in Donegal. This was
a very special
day and we were blessed with beautiful weather. A few days later we had our Autumn
gathering,
were past pupils meet with the retired nuns in Cedar House. Joan Finlay had arranged
a lovely afternoon tea
for everyone.
Perdita Quinlan held a fund raising coffee morning in her home. This was well
attended and we raised €4000
for past pupils in need. Another fund raiser for our Benevolent Fund was a bridge
drive in October.
120 alumni played and had lunch. In 2008 we will have given €100,000 to
past pupils in need.
We are presently getting ready for our November Mass for deceased past
pupils.
This will be held in Mount Anville chapel.
We would like to thank Hermine and the AMASC committee most sincerely for all
the work they do
for everyone and we are looking forward to meeting you in Malta.
Best wishes from Ireland,
Joan Finlay and Perdita Quinlan
